The last place Cammie Fields expected to hear a dragon roar was in the middle of the school library! Steelwing is back and asking for her help, but she’s got something bigger to worry about: a new school nemesis. Cammie and her new bionic arm should have been the center of attention in class, but everyone’s distracted by Anastasia Nelson, the popular new girl who hears the dragon too.

When they’re mysteriously pulled into the game world of Illiavar together, Cammie and Anastasia stumble into the hidden laboratory of the perplexing sorcerer Malmortis Zek, who’s been creating his own game areas, weapons, and monsters to finally corrupt Steelwing. But how?

As if life wasn’t complicated enough, everyone is hiding something — wizards, classmates, parents, and even Steelwing. Cammie and Anastasia must work together to connect all the secrets and stop Zek before he takes control of Steelwing and all of Illiavar.
